World Golf Village. The World Golf Hall of Fame complex has two 18-hole layouts named for and partially designed by golf legends Sam Snead, Gene Sarazen, Arnold Palmer, and Jack Nicklaus. The King & Bear course, a collaboration of Palmer and Nicklaus, features a design that symbolizes the styles of both golfing legends, including holes that especially reward outstanding power of the tees. Palmer chose the par-4 15th as one of his "Dream 18" in a Sports Illustrated report. It's the most picturesque hole on the course, with a dramatic rock wall surrounding the green. Snead and Sarazen consulted with designer Bobby Weed in creating The Slammer & Squire course, which features generous fairways and lots of water hazards. Amenities for both courses include complimentary range balls and fresh chilled apples on the 1st and 10th tees. 1 World Golf Pl., St. Augustine, Florida, 32092. 904/940–6200; 904/940–6100; www.worldgolfvillage.com.
