Fodor's Review

Housed in an 1889 sea-captain's house, this highly regarded Fernandina Beach restaurant caters to locals who crave its comfort-food-inspired dishes like tenderloin meat loaf with spinach, ham, and provolone cheese with shiitake-mushroom gravy and chive whipped potatoes, as well as visiting foodies who have heard the quiet buzz about this cozy, coastal, two-story Victorian from afar. Hardwood floors and marble fireplaces aside, one of Beech Street's most treasured fixtures

is pianist John "If-you-can-hum-it-I-can-play-it" Springer, who has been entertaining diners for decades. There are delicious nightly fish specials and an outstanding wine list.
