Brickell Avenue south of the Miami River is burgeoning with Italian restaurants, and this lunch place for local bigwigs is the biggest and most popular among them. It's housed partially outdoors and partially indoors in a 120-year-old Vermont barn. Recipes were handed down from grandmother to mother to daughter, and the cooking is simple and good. Buy your wine from the on-premises deli, and enjoy it (for a small corking fee) with homemade minestrone; a generous antipasto; linguine with a sauté of jumbo shrimp, fresh asparagus, and chopped tomatoes; or gnocchi with four cheeses. The homemade tiramisu and fruit tart are top-notch.

Being a Miami resident I absolutely love this plce. I chose to have my Bridal Shower there and have had lunch there on several occasions. I even have a friend that got married there! The food is amazing, the staff is so helpful and friendly. The pasta dishes are great and their appetizers will leave you begging for more! It truly is an oasis in a busy busy business district. The Restaurant has been there for years. You feel like your in a treehouse since there is a huge tree growing the the middle of the restaurant. Despite summer heat there is always a very nice cool breeze going through the restaurant thanks to their air coolers. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Miami.
