$$-$$$, South Beach/Miami Beach
Fodor's Review:
This big Morris Lapidus-designed hotel has balconies off every room, a fun pool complex for kids, and is directly across the street from the Bal Harbour shops. Other pluses include a lush oceanfront garden with waterfalls and a funky neon-laced bistro and bar. Water sports are on the beach, the heated pool has a waterslide and a 17-foot waterfall, and there's an all-day kids' club. Also a prime business hotel, you could get lost in the 72,000 square feet of meeting space. All this space sits on 10 acres of Atlantic coastline. Pros: Most family-friendly hotel on Bal Harbour, in-room video games, and across the street from prime shopping. Cons: Big, anonymous hotel; older property.
