Book NowAcqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach Review
When it opened in 2006, this hotel raised the bar for luxury in Miami, and it stands as one of the city's best hotels. You'll pay for it, too: Acqualina promises a lavish Mediterranean lifestyle with lawns and pool set below terraces that evoke Vizcaya, and Ferraris and Lamborghinis lining the driveway. There is much to love about the amenities here, including three gorgeous pools, the colossal ESPA spa, and the trendiest of restaurants, including one of only a handful in Miami to offer unobstructed beach views. And, upon arrival, you're escorted to your room for a personal in-room check-in. Rooms are sinfully comfortable, with every conceivable frill. Even standard rooms facing away from the ocean seem grand; they have huge flat-screens that rise out of the foot of the bed, making recumbent TV watching seem like a theater experience. If you're planning to pop the big question on your vacation, a Proposal Concierge will help set the scene.

Families will appreciate the many specialized kids' activities offered at this stylish resort. The fun and educational aquamarine program teaches kids about marine biology through a variety of beach and water activities, and the Kid's Night Out program, a supervised evening of dinner, games, and movies lets Mom and Dad hit the town.

We visited over a weekend in June. This hotel was amazing. One of the best vacations I've ever taken. My 3 year old daughter swam for hours every day in the beautiful pools. The customer service was top-notch from the concierge to the house keeping service. The only negative thing I can think of is that room service as well as parking at the hotel is very expensive here. We would definitely go back though.

A friend & I are thinking of taking our annual spring break to Sarasoga and Siesta Key.
Can you recommend this or would you recommend somewhere else that might have a tropical island feel?
