Sagamore

Fodor's Review:

This super-sleek all-white hotel in the middle of the action looks and feels more like a Chelsea art gallery, filled with brilliant contemporary art. Its restaurant, Social Miami, is one of the hottest reservations in town. With all the mind-bending hipness, you might expect some major flaw, like small rooms, but in fact they're all suites here, and some of the largest on the strip, starting at 525 square feet. All have full kitchens with big fridges, mini ovens, microwaves, and dishwashers. You can also expect huge flat-screen TVs and whirlpool baths. Hallways have artist quotes lining the halls; and public restrooms have video installations. The poolside duplex bungalows make posh party pads on weekend nights, when the Sagamore is the place to be in all of Miami (no surprise there). Staying here saves you the long wait and the begging to get in. Don't worry, it's still safe for kids here, and they'll love the glass, fluorescent-lighted swing in the lobby. A VIP kids card entitles them to unlimited free ice cream, hot dogs, and soda (what the heck, it's vacation). Pros: Sensational pool, Friday- and Saturday-night parties, great location, quiet on weekdays, and good rate specials. Cons: Basic rooms are not as stylish as public areas; noisy on weekends.
