Fodor's Review:

There are more picturesque beaches on Key Biscayne, but this is a handy stop en route for a family snack break across from the Miami Seaquarium. Follow the park road past several parking areas until it curves left; the beach entrance is to the right, with numerous picnic tables topped with thatched Tiki-style roofs dotting the grounds near the water. The narrow beach with lifeguard on duty is suitable for small children, plus there's a playground and volleyball court. A coastal trail leads from the parking area through a 15-acre natural hammock.

  • Cost: $2 per person on foot; $5 per vehicle
  • Open: Daily 9-5, until 6 in summer
