This three-story beauty was one of the first art-deco hotels to be restored on South Beach, chosen for its fine features, like the bold curved corners and niche-like side courtyard. Today you enter the lobby -- where you can watch videos of owner Gloria Estefan on three screens -- -from the courtyard. The Ocean Drive entrance is reserved for the happening Cuban-Chinese restaurant, Oriente. Leopard-print blankets and other artifacts collected on Gloria's world tours, as well as large baths with mosaic-tile sinks and terra-cotta walls, distinguish rooms here. Whether you opt for a room or suite, you'll have space to spread out. The views from the oceanfront rooms, especially 301 and 304, are impressive, and all rooms have CD players, including a good selection of Estefan's albums. Pros: Fair prices and lively Ocean Drive restaurant. Con: No pool.
