Opened in 1917, this coral-rock church is built in the mission style. The front door, made of hand-carved walnut and oak with wrought-iron fittings, came from an early 17th-century monastery in the Pyrénées. Also on the 11-acre grounds are the first schoolhouse in Miami-Dade County (one room), which was moved to this property, and the site of the original Coconut Grove waterworks and electric works.
