Fodor's Review

In mid-2015 the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science will relocate to its much larger, hyper-modern new home in downtown's Musuem Park. Until then, this small fun museum in Coconut Grove is chock-full of hands-on sound, gravity, and electricity displays for children and adults alike. For animal lovers, its wildlife center houses native Florida snakes, turtles, tortoises, and birds of prey. Check the museum's schedule for traveling exhibits that appear throughout

the year. If you're here the first Friday of the month—called Fabulous First Fridays—stick around for the free star show at 7 pm and then gaze at the planets through two powerful Meade telescopes at the Weintraub Observatory. Also enjoy a laser-light rock-and-roll show nightly at 8, 9, 10, or 11 to the tunes of the Doors, Bob Marley, the Beatles, or Pink Floyd to name a few.
