Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium

Fodor's Review:

This museum is chock-full of hands-on sound, gravity, and electricity displays for children and adults alike. A wildlife center houses native Florida snakes, turtles, tortoises, and birds of prey. Outstanding traveling exhibits appear throughout the year, and virtual reality, life-science demonstrations, and Internet technology are on hand every day. If you're here the first Friday of the month, stick around for a laser-light rock-and-roll show, presented in the planetarium at 9 and 10, or just check out the Weintraub Observatory for free.

  • Cost: Museum exhibits, planetarium shows, and wildlife center $17, laser show $7
  • Open: Museum daily 10-6
