Century Hotel

Fodor's Review:

If this is your second time staying in South Beach, consider this cheap but tidy hotel at the southern end of the island. It's a dozen blocks south of the big scene but offers the same amazing (though quieter) beach, and it gives you a chance to discover some of the city's best restaurants, which happen to be steps away: Big Pink, Joe's, Prime One Twelve, and Nemo's. Designed in 1939 by Art Deco master Henry Hohauser, the Century is an Art Deco masterpiece, impeccably maintained down to the terrazzo floors. Rooms are wonderful values for their wood floors, and clean, new furniture. A rarity anywhere in Miami: this is a pet-friendly hotel. Pros: quiet South Beach location; clean; across from beach; classic Art Deco building. Cons: not in the heart of South Beach; no pool.
