Everglades Alligator Farm

Fodor's Review:

Here's your chance to see gators, gators, gators—2,000 or so—and other wildlife such as blue herons, snowy egrets, and perhaps a rare roseate spoonbill. You can also take in alligator wrestling, reptile shows, and other animal exhibits as well as an airboat ride (they're not allowed inside Everglades National Park). This place is a little more than 30 mi south of Miami, just south of the former pioneer town of Homestead.

  • Cost: $13.50, $19 with airboat tour
  • Open: Daily 9-6
