Fodor's Review:

Golfers and families will enjoy this upscale resort with one of the best service staffs in the city. The lush resort doesn't just feel like a country club: the LPGA Tour hosts an annual tournament here every April. The sprawling 300-acre resort has a tremendous winding lagoon pool with a winding waterslide and a lazy river, a wonderful three-story spa, and a delicious new restaurant called Bourbon. The rooms are also jumbo-sized, decorated in calming tan hues and equipped with every amenity you could need. Add two Robert Trent Jones-designed golf courses, four clay tennis courts, and a 117-boat marina, and you've got a corporate vacationer's dream. South Beach may seem a world away—and it's about a 10-minute drive to any beach—but anyone who wants to delve into Ocean Drive madness can access the resort's private Ocean Club at Collins Avenue and 17th Street. Pros: great golf, pools, and restaurants; free shuttle to Aventura Mall. Cons: far from the beach; no nightlife.
