Owner Jennie Yip has helped launch restaurants as fawned over as Blue Door at the Delano and New York's Mercer Kitchen. As the most popular of only a handful of Chinese restaurants on South Beach, the hip Miss Yip serves authentic dim sum and steaming fresh Cantonese dishes. Try the Peking duck and the "Princess Jade" sea bass, made of cubes of tender battered fish with Chinese mayo sauce. Then wash it down with one of Miss Yip's many specialty cocktails. A few favorites include the lychee mojito and the ginger martini. A small market sells dozens of sauce and spice mixes. The crowds here are lively, the design contemporary, and the food flavorful.
