At more than 4,500 square feet, this chic Ponte Vedra restaurant is more spacious than its sister restaurant, Matthew's, in Jacksonville. And with its uplit floor-to-ceiling wine cellars, patina-stained concrete floors, overstuffed leather chairs, and room dividers constructed of oak branches and brushed aluminum, it's decidedly more urban. What is a constant, however, is Chef Matthew Medure's deliciously eclectic menu, including favorites like ahi tuna tartare, seared foie gras with huckleberry compote, and inventive variations on grouper and flounder. Although this kind of culinary genius doesn't come cheap, those looking to cut corners would be wise to dine on Monday, when bottles of wine are half price, or Wednesday, when you can enjoy hors d'oeuvres and five featured wines for just $15 a person.
