Sundial Beach & Golf Resort. Sanibel's largest resort encompasses 400 privately owned, individually decorated one- and two-bedroom condos, about 260 of which are in its rental program. It caters to groups in fall, families in winter. The latter hang around the main pool with its seashell slide, the shell-strewn beach, and the Eco-Center, where they can pet live shells and sign up for family activities and kids camp. Pros: full-service amenities, great beach. Cons: conference crowds, crowded pool area.
