Fodor's Review:

Currently in an Edward Larrabee Barnes-designed building that's considered an architectural masterpiece, this museum started in a nearby storefront about 50 years ago. Now coordinating with Nova Southeastern University, it hosts world-class touring exhibits and has an impressive permanent collection of 20th-century European and American art, including works by Picasso, Calder, Dalí, Mapplethorpe, Warhol, and Stella, as well as works by celebrated Ashcan School artist William Glackens.

  • Cost: $10
  • Open: Feb.-mid-Dec., Wed.-Mon. 11-5, Thurs. open until 9; mid-Dec.-Jan. daily 11-5, Thurs. open until 9.
