Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel Review
This nicely situated Fort Lauderdale beachfront classic received a long-overdue nip/tuck in 2011 before rebranding as a DoubleTree hotel. To comply with brand standards, it will have to undergo the knife a bit more through 2013. Identical guest rooms are available in both the marina building and the tower building; however, the latter tends to offer superior vistas. The hotel fills up for boating events, since they are often hosted along Bahia Mar's megamarina. Most year-round snorkeling and boat outfitters are found directly on the marina; the water taxi also makes regular stops here.
