W Fort Lauderdale Review

Fort Lauderdale's trendiest hotel, this pair of 23-story towers of the W Hotel rise over the Atlantic blues like a massive luxury boat at full sail. W seduces with dramatic ocean and Intracoastal views as well as a host of in-house eye-openers, too. The Living Room, with a 20-foot bar and mattress-inspired seating, lets you peek at swimmers through ceiling portholes. In fact, two infinity-edge pools, WET (Atlantic view) and WET West (Intracoastal view), feature the aforementioned peek-a-boo pool bottoms. With its retro '50s Florida décor, Bliss Spa also has a brownie bar, perhaps to inspire use of the Sweat Fitness Center. Whatever/Whenever concierge service provides the Acura Experience, with an Acura MDX that shows you around town within a five-mile radius. Standard room amenities include iPod docking station, CD/DVD player, and digital bath scale. Rooms are appropriately classified as Wonderful, Spectacular, Fabulous, etc., while suites range up to Wow or Extreme Wow. Between Whiskey Blue with its light fare and libations, Steak 954's boutique dining, nearly 13,000 square feet of meeting space, and a grand ballroom for up to 300, don't be surprised to encounter revelry.
