Fodor's Review

This casual beachfront eatery is always crowded and always fun. One of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea's most famous restaurants, Aruba Beach serves a wide range of American and Caribbean cuisine, including Caribbean conch chowder and conch fritters. There are also fresh tropical salads, sandwiches, and seafood. The café is famous for its divine fresh-baked Bimini bread with Aruba glaze (think challah with donut glaze). A band performs day and night, so head for the back corner

with excellent views of the beach if you want conversation while you eat and drink. Sunday breakfast buffet starts at 9 am.

Great spot - great food!

Go there! It has an unique atmosphere! It is right on the beach and always crowded. Waiting for 20 minutes is normal, but it's totally worth it! Service is always friendly, food is always fresh and the price is right. What else do you need?!

Great food and fun place

Have been to many southern FL spots and this one is among the best. It can get a little noisy at times, and usually a 2 or 3 piece band begins at 9 most nights. But this is not a detraction, and the place is big, so you can find what you want, also has 2 large bars. Excellent food, the seafood is fresh and fabulous. You can go 2 or 3 times in a week, because the value and quality are assured.

Sitting in the Sand

The last bldg on Commercial Blvd before you drive into the ocean. The food here is more 'American" than its sister owned 'Casablanca", but excellent and plentiful. For lunch I ordered a MiaMia sandwich one day....maybe a 1/2 lb of ultra fresh fish on a REAL HARD ROLL like in NYC!. With potato choice and enought greens to make a cole slaw, Bahama Bread (sorry Aitkins)...and sosft drinks are refilled free. Dinner was even better.another

fish dish (several weeks later)...fresh snapper with rice was excellent. Music provided in PM.
