Fodor's Review:

For anyone getting positively misty-eyed at mere mention of Don Shula's Miami Dolphins 17-0 Perfect Season of '72, the good news for steak—and sports—fans is that the staff here also turns out culinary winners. Certified Angus beef is grilled over a super-hot fire for quick charring. Steak Mary Anne, named for Shula's wife, consists of two sliced fillets in a savory sauce. Seafood is excellent, too, as is the apple cobbler à la mode. Patio tables provide views of sand and ocean, and inside seating gives you access to sports memorabilia and large-screen TVs.

I chose this restaurant for the location and dined here for breakfast. For a waterfront location, the view was a huge disappointment. Breakfast was overpriced, and average. Will not return.

If you are looking to pay steakhouse prices for supermarket quality steaks, then Shula's On the Beach in Fort Lauderdale is the sucker rip-off joint for you.
I am a fan of quality steaks and am a patron of places like Prime 112 in South Beach and Mortons in North Miami. Heck, I even enjoy Longhorns when I am on a budget.
But Shula's? What a mistake I made in taking my wife there for our anniversary.
We ordered their signature dish, which was nothing more than two wet pieces of tenderloin that were not seared and tasted like they had been baked in an oven with dark sauce dumped on top. I returned it, and I got Ahi Tuna (not fresh) that was cold in the center and came with a pile of disgusting hash.
Avoid at all costs
