Fodor's Review

This basic property's beachfront location is a mile from the Pompano Pier, offering plenty of ocean views but accommodations that are overdue for a renovation. The European standard rooms are spacious at least, and all units have free Wi-Fi. Great views are everywhere from the oversized guest-room balconies to dining rooms. Unfortunately, the property feels dated.

Used to be a delightful resort

Run-down & not very well maintained. Landscaping was horrible, pool was in disrepair, I just don't understand it...Why let a beautiful place like this go?

Just Our Type

May not be for everyone, but we really liked it. Room was small, but we weren't there much.... Spent time at the bar near the pool and on the beach. Staff was very nice. Place is very low key. Location was good. We enjoyed being right on the beach. Heard a rumor that the place has been sold and they are going to knock it down. Too bad, it has real character....

Overcharged by Hotel!

We stayed at this hotel during Thanksgiving week in 2005. We booked for seven nights but after we arrived had to reduce our stay to six nights. The front desk staff assured us that we would only be charged for six nights. When we got home we found that we had been charged for seven nights. We called the hotel manager, who was very rigid, quoted their cancellation policy, and refused to give us a refund for the seventh night.

You cannot beat the views & large decks

We had an oceanfront room with small kitchen and a beautiful large deck. The rooms could use major updating, especially the kitchens, but the deck more than made up for it. Pool was nicely heated for a cool December; the beach was beautiful and the water warmer than our summers up north. Go for the extra buck and pay for the thick comfy cushion for the lounge chairs
