Innkeeper Cristie Furth, with her husband, Marc, runs this small motel in a quiet resort area across from the beach. Lattice fences, gurgling fountains, and gardens of cactus and impatiens provide privacy around the brick patio and pool. A palm-fringed Mexican hacienda look predominates, and guest quarters have hand-painted and stenciled furnishings and terra-cotta tiles. Pros: south-of-the-border verve; friendly owners. Cons: lower rooms lack ocean views.

We just returned from Lauderdale By The Sea where we stayed at the Blue Seas Courtyard. The accomedations are charming and affordable. We stayed in one of the 1 bedroom apts. and loved it. Marc and Cristie, the owners, are friendly, warm and welcoming. The courtyard pool is very pretty and a great place to realx after a day on the beach. We recommend Blue Seas for anyone wanting a comfortable and affordable resort stay in Lauderdale By The Seas.
