This two-story property has an unbeatable location—directly on the beach and two blocks from municipal tennis courts. Built in the 1950s and nicely renovated in 2007, units are plain but clean and comfortable, with tropical rattan furniture and ceiling fans. Coffee and Danish pastry are served daily. Pros : family-owned friendliness; great location. Cons: must reserve far ahead; basic decor.

We spent a great week at Tropic Seas Resort Hotel this past October. The location is fantastic, right on the beach. Our two small children had a wonderful time alternating playing on the beach, in the ocean or in the pool. This is an ideal hotel for those who enjoy small limited service hotels directly on the beach for a vacation alone, a romantic get away or a family vacation. We will definately return.
