Fodor's Review:

The sprawling Lago Mar, owned by the Banks family since the early 1950s, has retained its sparkle thanks to frequent renovations. Most accommodations are spacious suites with pullout sofas and kitchens, making then ideal for families. Brilliantly colored bougainvilleas edge the swimming lagoon, and you have direct access to a large private beach in an exclusive neighborhood. Acquario serves northern Italian cuisine nightly and a divine filet mignon; kids and kids-at-heart gravitate toward the Soda Shop, a bakery and ice-cream parlor. Pros: secluded setting; plenty of activities; on the beach. Cons: not the easiest to find.
