Sawgrass Mills, 10 mi west of downtown Fort Lauderdale, has 26 million visitors a year, ranking it Florida's second-biggest tourist attraction (after the one with the mouse). The ever-growing complex has a basic alligator shape, and walking it all amounts to about a 2-mi jaunt. Count on 11,000 self-parking spaces (note your location, or you'll be working those soles), valet parking, and two information centers. More than 400 shops—many manufacturer's outlets, retail outlets, and name-brand discounters—include Abercrombie & Fitch Outlet, Chico's Outlet, Super Target, and Ron Jon Surf Shop. Restaurants such as Cajun Grill, the Cheesecake Factory, Mangia La Pasta, and Rainforest Café are on-site. Wannado City, an "interactive-empowerment environment" is geared toward ages four to well-heeled patrons—where there's a David Yurman jewelry outlet and shops by Valentino, Burberry, Kate Spade, and Barneys New York.
