On the ground floor of the sleek Il Lugano hotel, this stylish Italian restaurant features "mozzarella baristas," who knead mouthwatering cheese fresh at your table from raw ingredients of buttermilk, hot water, and salt. The warm cheese is then served with a choice of four toppings, including heirloom tomatoes and sweet basil, and tapenade made of green and black olives. The cheese course is followed by an array of antipasti, primi, and secondi that include
pastas, meats, and seafood. Most notably, four pastas are handcrafted in-house daily, usually two special ones and the two staples—spaghetti, tagliatelle—plus risotto.
