John Gorrie Museum State Park

Museums / Galleries, Apalachicola

Fodor's Review:

Stop in at the John Gorrie Museum State Park, which honors the physician credited with inventing ice-making, and almost inventing air-conditioning. Although he was hampered by technology, later air-conditioning patents used Gorrie's discoveries. Exhibits of Apalachicola history are displayed here as well.
