Zoos / Aquariums, Pensacola
Fodor's Review:
The local zoo, about 12 mi east of Pensacola, near Gulf Breeze, has more than 700 animals, including many endangered species. Kids especially enjoy the petting zoo, where they can touch most every critter on Old MacDonald's farm. Other attractions yield tigers, zebras, and such unusual creatures as African wild dogs and pygmy hippos, and there's a tall platform where you can have face-to-face meetings with giraffes. The Safari Line Limited train runs through 30 acres of free-roaming animals in their natural habitats.
