$$-$$$, Seaside and Rosemary Beach
Fodor's Review:
Penny and Mark Dragonette run this spotless, eight-room inn on the town's main square, one block from the Gulf of Mexico. In keeping with the true pensione concept, rooms (all with queen beds) are basic, almost dorm-style, yet comfortable -- those in front have views of the gulf across the street -- and thoughtful touches like chocolates, whimsical murals, and picture guides to local butterflies add a touch of homeyness. You're guaranteed peace and quiet here: children under 16, spring breakers, and overzealous wedding parties are not allowed. Continental breakfast is included in the room price, making this smart property one of the best bargains around. Onano, a "neighborhood café," occupies the inn's first floor.
