You can't miss this Depression-era two-story redbrick structure on a quiet corner a few blocks from peaceful Lake DeFuniak -- just look for the two-tone 1937 Buick permanently moored out front. Each room has a different theme decor, from Oriental to Art Deco to French Country, and contains a combination of period antiques and reproductions, many of which can be purchased on the spot. In 2006, new owners turned the hotel restaurant into Bogey's (850/951-2233), where the dinner menu centers around fresh gulf seafood, yet also includes chicken and veal. It's an unusual find in a small town, and one of the nicer places to stay in this part of the Panhandle.
