$$-$$$, Steak, Florida City
Fodor's Review:
Families and older couples prefer the quirky yet well-dressed setting of this roadside steak-and-seafood restaurant with an indoor-outdoor fish-and-duck pond. It was built to look like a ship in 1980, back when Florida City was barely on the map. Etched glass divides the bi-level dining rooms, with velvet upholstered chairs, an aquarium, and nautical antiques. The big menu has 15 seafood entrées, including stuffed grouper (a favorite), Florida lobster tails, and snapper Oscar, plus another half dozen daily seafood specials, as well as poultry, ribs, and steaks. There's a $9.95 hot buffet and salad bar Monday through Saturday 11 AM to 3 PM, a $21.95 Sunday seafood buffet from 11 AM to 9 PM, and live music and dancing Friday and Saturday evenings.
