Dante Fascell Visitor Center

Fodor's Review:

The Dante Fascell Visitor Center has a wide veranda with views across mangroves and Biscayne Bay. Inside the museum, artistic vignettes and on-request videos explore the park's four ecosystems. Among the facilities are the park's canoe and tour concessionaire, restrooms with showers, a ranger information area, a gift shop, and vending machines. Ranger programs take place daily, along with monthly family festivals and bimonthly narrated paddling trips. Outside are picnic tables and grills. A short trail and boardwalk lead to a jetty and launch ramp. This is the only area of the park accessible without a boat.
