Media in Washington, D.C.

Newspapers & Magazines

Two daily newspapers duke it out for readership in Washington, D.C., the Washington Post (www.washingtonpost.com) and the Washington Times (www.washingtontimes.com). Although people constantly accuse the Post of a liberal bias, the conservative Times still has only a fraction of the readership. Both have special sections on Fridays filled with plenty of information about weekend events.

Washington CityPaper (www.washingtoncitypaper.com), a free weekly newspaper, has features about local issues and the best arts and cultural coverage. The Washington Blade (www.washblade.com) has news and features about the gay community. Also check out the monthly magazine Washingtonian (www.washingtonian.com). Its "Where & When" section helps you know what's going on around town.
