Fodor's Review

The White House Historical Association operates two shops. The flagship store is in the White House Visitor Center, adjacent to the White House between 14th and 15th streets, and there's a smaller shop in the historic Decatur House on Lafayette Square just a block from the White House. Both shops sell the Association's official merchandise, which are all well made. You can find everything from top-selling Christmas ornaments to jewelry, ties, T-shirts, books, and accessories. Ten dollars or less will get you cocktail napkins, bookmarks, or a wooden Easter egg. The more expensive items include silk scarves, hand-painted enamel boxes, and jewelry with cameos of the White House. The charming staff offers fun facts about the White House for free.
