Fodor's Review

A former funeral home hosts some of the nation's best indie acts. Live bands are in the main room and DJs spin on the second floor, called the Hotel Bar, hosting some of the most enthusiastic dance parties in town—and the dance floor can get very crowded. The rooftop bar is festive, too. Notable acts include A Place to Bury Strangers, Lost in the Trees, Dead Kennedys, and Emily King. It's a 15-block walk from the Union Station Metro though it's probably best to take a taxi or Uber in this still up-and-coming area.
