Fodor's Review

The most expensive accommodations in town come with superlative standards, and the pampering begins even before you arrive—a personal assistant will make arrangements for tickets, tours, transportation, personal shopping, behind-the-scenes access to events, or whatever. Rooms are cast in pewter and gold tones and ornamented with chic wood paneling and Italian marble flooring, and even the shimmering bathrooms are regal, with soaking tubs and glass-enclosed rainfall showers.

Not willing to pay the price for a room? You can still enjoy the restaurant and rooftop lounge, where views of the Washington riverfront and monuments are priceless.
