Museum Shop at Decatur House

Museum Shop at Decatur House Review

Beyond the Web, there are only three places in D.C. to purchase official merchandise from the White House Historical Association: the temporary White House Visitor Center on the Ellipse, the Decatur House, and a small shop around the corner (740 Jackson Place NW). Decatur offers the greatest variety. From the popular Christmas ornaments to jewelry, ties, scarves, and accessories, the merchandise is well made. Ten dollars or less will get you cocktail napkins, bookmarks, or a wooden Easter egg. The more expensive merchandise includes silk scarves, hand-painted enamel boxes, and jewelry with cameos of the White House. But the charming staff offers fun facts about the White House for free.
