Kramerbooks & Afterwords Review

This popular bookstore-cum-café is a favorite neighborhood breakfast spot. It's also a late-night haunt on Friday and Saturday, when it's open around the clock. There's a simple menu with soups, salads, and sandwiches, but many people drop in just for cappuccino and dessert. The "three for 23" menu of shareable small plates, such as cured salmon and cornflake-crusted catfish, is a great bang for the buck. Catch a live music performance—everything from rock to the blues—here Wednesday through Saturday from 8 pm to midnight.
