Masa 14 Review

This modern lounge blends Asian and Latin American flavors, with a menu of memorable small plates. The masa-panko-crusted calamari comes with a kick of Madras curry, and savory pork belly tacos are served on an Asian bun. The cocktail list, headlined by more than 100 varieties of tequila, is the star of the city's longest bar (65 feet). The only thing missing from this collaboration between raw-fish guru Kaz Okochi and fusion impresario Richard Sandoval is a full-time sushi chef—but with house music thumping and bartenders shaking fresh libations, few patrons realize their spicy tuna wasn't hand-rolled. The prix-fixe all-you-can-eat-and-drink brunch is a rare find in any city, and a challenge worth taking.
