Rock and Roll Hotel

Rock and Roll Hotel Review

A former funeral home hosts some of the nation's best indie acts. Live bands are in the main room and DJs spin on the second floor, called the Hotel Bar, hosting some of the most enthusiastic dance parties in town—and the dance floors can get very crowded. The rooftop bar is festive, too. Notable acts include the Walkmen, Lost in the Trees, and Juliette and the Licks. It's a 15-block walk from the Union Station metro and, in this still up-and-coming area, it's best to take a taxi.
