Rocklands
Rocklands Review
This tiny branch of the popular local barbecue chain does mostly takeout business, but even when eaten with plastic silverware, the baby back ribs and smoked half chicken are still as tender as advertised. Disposable coolers are also sold here, perfect for filling up with corn bread and potato rolls and picnicking by the waterfront. Those who think that barbecue can never deliver a new taste will be humbled by the Pearl, a portable stack of macaroni-and-cheese, barbecued pork, and baked beans that sounds excessive but hits the spot. Locations in Northern Virginia's Arlington and Alexandria neighborhoods are equally reliable.
