Fodor's Review

This multilevel space's division into an array of sofa-filled rooms makes an evening at this home away from home for Washington's hipper globalists seem like a chill house party. Jazz musicians often entertain on the top floor of the former mansion, and the luxe back deck, complete with hanging chandeliers, provides summer visitors with two extra bars and a fresh-air dance floor. Fans of ambient house music flock here as it's the home of the ESL record label and the renowned

musical duo Thievery Corporation. The dress code here is strictly enforced by the doorman: no khakis, baseball caps, sneakers, or light-colored jeans. For men: no shorts or open-toed shoes.
