Myanmar, formerly called Burma, is bordered by India, Thailand, and China, which gives a good indication of the cuisine at this Chinatown restaurant. Curry and tamarind share pride of place with lemon, cilantro, and soy seasonings. Batter-fried eggplant and squash are paired with complex, peppery sauces. Green-tea-leaf and other salads leave the tongue with a pleasant tingle. Such entrées as mango pork and tamarind fish are equally satisfying.

This second floor walkup has no greeter- you walk in and feel like you've made a mistake. No background music or ambiance-we were the only table and felt like we were intruding. No sounds from even the kitchen! Stone silent.
The food was average- not exceptional as your rating made me expect - and dinner for two: 2 entrees, 1 appetizer=$40. Not cheap- I would think any restaurant in Chinatown could do as well.
If this restaurant had some CHARM I would have been fine- but no atmosphere, plus average food= waste of my travel time.
