Who says Thai food has to be sweat-inducing? Sala Thai makes the food as spicy as you wish, because this chef is interested in flavor, not fire. Among the subtly seasoned dishes are panang goong (shrimp in curry-peanut sauce), chicken sautéed with ginger and pineapple, and flounder with a choice of four sauces. Mirrored walls and warm lights soften this small dining room, as do the friendly service and largely local clientele.
