Fodor's Review:

The nearest restaurant to the Senate side of the Capitol, Monocle's drawing card is old-style Capitol Hill atmosphere. The regional American cuisine is reliable though rarely adventurous. The crab cakes, either as a platter or in a sandwich, are a trademark, and you might encounter specials such as pot roast or a first-rate fish dish. This is a great place to spot members of Congress at lunch and dinner.
