Fodor's Review

Light-filled hallways, invitingly bright guest rooms, soft bed linens, marble baths, and impeccable service make this hotel, formerly Al Gore's childhood home, a bastion of comfort. The concierge seeks to pamper by getting hard-to-find tickets, or having luggage packed and unpacked; and the staff is gracious and mannerly. The old photos of Washington embassies and other landmarks that line the corridors pay tribute to the hotel's prestigious address.
