Near tree-lined New Hampshire Avenue, this bed-and-breakfast is in one of Washington's most attractive neighborhoods. The Phillips Collection and the restaurants and shops of Dupont Circle lie within six blocks. The three-story inn is actually two buildings, and neither has an elevator. Rooms are tastefully decorated but small and most have showers only. There are some amenities expected of larger hotels, such as hair dryers and a morning newspaper. Three nights per week, sherry or wine is served in the downstairs lobby.
