The Hotel George Review
We cannot tell a lie—D.C.'s first contemporary boutique hotel is still one of its best, and the public areas and stylishly soothing guest quarters still excel at providing a fun and funky alternative to the cookie-cutter chains. Portraits of America's first president by Andy Warhol protege Steve Kaufman adorn public areas and add a pop of bright color to the mostly white public spaces. Guest rooms, done in cream and beige with cobalt-blue accents, have 300-count Egyptian cotton linens, marble-topped ergonomic desks, and expansive flat-screen TVs. Popular Bistro Bis is known for its contemporary French cuisine as well as its people-watching.
