Fodor's Review:

One of the quirky traditions of this homegrown fast-food burger house is to note on the menu board where the potatoes for that day's fries come from, be it Maine, Idaho, or elsewhere. The place gets just about everything right: from the grilled hot dogs and hand-patted burger patties—most folks get a double—to the fresh hand-cut fries with the skin on and the high-quality toppings such as sautéed onions and mushrooms. Add an eclectic jukebox to all of the above and you've got a great burger experience.

Five Guys is a DC staple! They use only peanut oil and grill up a perfect messy burger. A GREAT value (a regular fry is enough for two hungry people) and nice people make this a great lunch spot. Many of the Five Guys around town are cash only, but have ATMs inside.
